Throughout his doctoral tenure Aad’s research focused on the development of a small animal model of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), enabling development and translation of innovative therapeutic strategies for treatment of HFpEF. Currently, Aad continues his academic career as a postdoctoral researcher. Our ongoing research is dedicated to unravel the potential of cardiometabolic treatments for HFpEF.
Current activities
His research is focuses on novel intervention strategies in a cardiometabolic mouse model for HFpEF. Besides he studies the role that sex-differences play in humans and mice in the pathogenesis of heart failure.
