Hailun Qin (Hellen) started working as a PhD student at the University Medical Center Groningen under the supervision of Prof. dr. A.A. Voors, Dr. .Jozine ter Maaten and Dr. B.T. Santema since December 2020. Prior to this, she was a junior physician at the Cardiology department in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College in China. She obtained her bachelor degree in clinical medicine (2017) and master degree in cardiology (2020). In June 2019, she studied with Prof. dr. A.A. Voors’s team for two weeks through the IRF (ISCOMS) project. After that, she received funding from the China Scholarship Council and join the Cardiology department. She is currently working on sex and gender differences in patients with heart failure.
