Marlene Vijver received her medical degree in the beginning of 2020 in Groningen. After working as a junior physician at the Cardiology department in Medical Centre in Leeuwarden and the UMCG for almost two years, she started working as a physician scientist at the research department. As a part of the heart failure group, she focuses on investigating the relationship between heart failure and the pancreas, under the guidance of professor Van Veldhuisen.
